Toray Group to Exhibit at SAMPE Conference in Indiana this May

Morgan Hill, Calif. (May 6, 2025) -The Toray Group, a global leader in innovative technologies and advancements in high-performance composite materials, is thrilled to announce it will exhibit at  SAMPE 2025  in Indianapolis, Indiana, from May 20^th to 21^st.  

At booth P1, Toray will highlight its TORAYCA^™ carbon fiber, thermoset prepreg materials, Toray Cetex^®, and CFRT^® thermoplastic composite materials used in the aerospace and defense, automotive, sports and recreation, and industrial markets.

Toray will showcase a broad range of next-generation materials engineered to advance sustainability, energy mobility, and quality of life. Highlights include:

• A Composite Overwrapped Pressure Vessel (COPV) manufactured with next-generation TORAYCA™ carbon fiber for hydrogen applications
• An EV rotor sleeve utilizing Toray Cetex^® thermoplastic composites for automotive use
• A demonstration of state-of-the-art hybrid prepreg technology, featuring Specialty Materials’ Hy-Bor^® technology which is comprised of boron fiber and Toray’s T1100G/TC380 advanced composite material and engineered to maximize compression strength performance
• A sample of the bio-based EcoTerra™ composite material for consumer products

In addition to the exhibition, Toray team experts will speak at two technical sessions at the SAMPE conference. Wyatt Taylor will present on Wednesday, May 21^st at 10 am local time to discuss Laminate Layup and Consolidation Techniques for Enhanced Induction Heating Responses with Thermoplastic Composites.

In a separate session, Terry Hines will dive into an investigation of the Effects of Blank Consolidation Level on Properties of Carbon-Fiber Reinforced Thermoplastic Stamp-Formed Parts on Wednesday, May 21^st at 9:30 am local time.
